SUMMARY ROMEO AND JULIET

CHAPTER 1 THE MONTAGUES AND THE CAPULETS

In Verona, there were two families - the Montagues and the Capulets. They hated each other.

One day, two groups of servants began to fight, then Benvolio (a Montague) arrived and tried to make peace. Then arrived Tybalt and fought against Benvolio. Then arrived Lady and Lord Capulet, and Lady and Lord Montague too. Soon everyone was fighting.

At last Prince of Verona arrived, he stopped the fight.

Romeo was on his way back from the forest to the city.

Romeo confessed to Benvolio that he was in love with Rosaline, and Benvolio said him that he must forgot him.

Lord Capulet decided to have a party. He invited a lot of people but not the Montagues.

CHAPTER 2 THE GARDEN OF THE CAPULETS

Romeo went to the party with Benvolio and his friend, Mercutio. Lord Capulet welcomed them. He did not recognise the son of his enemy. As they went into the house, Romeo saw Juliet for the first time. He forgot Rosaline! He fell in love!

Tybalt recognised Romeo's voice and he wanted to fight, but LordCapulet said that Romeo has a good reputation in Verona.

Tybalt did not agree but he did not want to make Lord Capulet angry.

Romeo went to Juliet and talked to her. He didn't know who she was. He took her hand gently in his. Romeo kissed Juliet. Then the Nurse came to take Juliet to her mother. They were in love.

CHAPTER 3 THE PRINCE OF CATS

Romeo went to see Friar Laurence, he said he wanted to marry with Juliet.

Benvolio and Mercutio were looking for Romeo in the streets of Verona.

Romeo said to the nurse: "Tell Juliet to come to Friar Laurence's cell this afternoon. We will get married there."

The Nurse went back to Juliet, who was waiting anxiously. She told her the news. "Tell your parents that you're going to pray," said the Nurse. "Then go to see Friar Laurence."

Romeo and Juliet get married in the afternoon. Later Tybalt killed Mercutio.

CHAPTER 4 FORTUNE'S FOOL!

Romeo was so angry that he lost control. He took out his sword and fought with Tybalt. He killed him.When the prince knew it, he expeled Romeo from Verona, he threatened him that if he stay he will die. Romeo had to leave Verona and never return. He wanted the night with Juliet so that they could be together. But when the nurse arrived, she brought bad news. The nurse sad that Tybald was dead. Her parents organizing her weeding with Paris, on Thursay. Then Romeo left to Mantua. 

CHAPTER 5 MY LADY'S DEAD

Juliet was sad because Romeo killed Tybalt, his cousin and they never will be married. So Juliet decided to kill himself drinking poison. When Julied was dead, lord Capulet decided to do a funeral. 

Finally friar Laurence sent another friar to talk with Romeo to tell that Juliet is dead.

CHAPTER 6 WIT A KISS, I DIE

When Romeo knows taht Juliet is dead he get some horses and starts to ride to Verona. When he arrived in Verona he doies to the graveyard in front of the grave of Juliet. He opened the grave and he goes inside. When Paris saw Romeo they started to fight and Paris die. Romeo goes inside the grave and poisoned himself and he dead himself. When Juliet wakes up, saw Romeo and Paris dead and she decided to kill himself at the end of the chapter.

Friar said taht i was one of the worst days in Verona.
